Ensure you have enough value for your shopping to avoid decline especially when travelling abroad

Change your Pin frequently to always be in charge

Ensure to use your Pin and iPin for every transaction done within the country where the card account is domicile for instance Nigeria and for transactions outside Nigeria, the Pin or Signature may be required

Ensure that you do not leave your card unattended for a long time and do not disclose your Pin to any third party

Ensure that you use your card only on credible websites, which can be identified by a locked golden padlock at the bottom right corner of your browser window. An unbroken key symbol at the bottom right corner of your browser window and a site with a URL that starts with “https”

HOW TO GET PREPAID MASTER/ VISA CARD

v Fill and sign prepaid card application form.

v Tick the direct debit for prepaid card that is use as loyalty cards.

v Attach a passport photograph and a form of identification like the National id card, Drivers license, Voter card, Intl passport, Corpers id card, and University Student’s id card or any form of valid work identity card in Nigeria. Any of the above identity card qualifies you for a prepaid master/ visa card.

v In most banks the card are issued out to customers without collecting money. However the cards are not free since the card is being produced by a card company like Master or Visa card and the bank paid to acquire the cards so the money for the card will be deducted from the card account. Hence you don’t have to bother your self about paying for the card on the spot.

WHAT DO I GET WHEN MY CARD IS READY

WHEN THE CARD IS READY IT COMES IN A SEALED ENVELOP CONTAINING THE FOLLOWING ITEMS.

1.     A card bearing the preferred name on the card, and a letter containing the card account number and details about the usage of the card.

2.     Two separate pin slip; an ATM Pin (for ATM transactions) and an iPin (for Internet transactions). The ATM pin is to be activated from the issuing bank ATM machine nationwide. The iPin is to be activated via a secured code before or while making the first transactions with the card.
